Background
One of the biggest unsolved questions in science is, what is life? This is such a difficult question that more than a few scientists today think the answer will never be found. Anyone who dares to claim they have found the answer is treated with great scepticism. And rightly so. However, I really think I have found the answer. I have a theory which finally - definitively - answers the question: what is life? Or, have I?
I cannot actually prove my theory right. That's not how science works. Scientific theories cannot be proven right, they can only be proven wrong. However, if a theory manages to survive repeated attempts to falsify it (prove it wrong), then this is a strong indication it is indeed correct. Hence why I set up the RUSHTON RESEARCH Challenge. I invite - indeed I challenge - as many people as possible to try their best to prove my theory wrong.
